Dear Ritchie,

Medical research has shown when undergoing a major operation you may suffer memory loss but your brain cells can dramatically improve ie: see black & white not red & *hite!
Since you've been away a number of things have happened both on the football front & at BCC.

Firstly the football:-
Sunderland have been relegated & worse still the football league don't want them either. They've applied to the Northern League for next season. They are obviously not expecting good news as a planning application has been submitted to Sunderland council to turn the pitch into a potato field? A food source many supporters are familiar with!!! The cinder track is to become a "grey hound track - to entertain the homless people of the city". Only the first 40,000 people will be accomodated, the remaining 250,000 will have to que for the following days races!!!
Well at least they will be finally entertained.

Newcastle United continue to dominate north east football for the 150th year on the trott.
Kevin Keegan once again has been voted the best football manager in the world.
Hotels & flights to the champions league final venues for the next five years have been allocated to the toon army faithfull.
The Premier League winners trophy has been engraved with the toons name on for the forseeeable future!!!!

On the cricket front:-

BCC has removed the colour red from the club badge, as this colour is associated with failure!!!

Any player who continues to support the potato men must change in the urinals area - as this smell will remind them of wearside!!

No player who supports the paddy boys can captain any of the club sides, as this will only result in failure.

All members & players at the club supporting the mackems have been allocated menial tasks at the club, ie: cleaning the toilets, washing up, picking up dog poo off the field (alan becks dog) - basically tasks they are familiar with.

I hope this has brought you up to date as you recupperate watching tv at home eating chocolate cookies.
The toon army faithfull are happy to invite you into their arms on the proviso you see sense,(if the op was successfull) and are prepared to pick you up on match da**o you can watch your beloved cricket team.

However if you continue to be stubborn (op not successfull) you know where your local bus stop is!!!

GET WELL SOON

TOON ARMY FAITHFULL

EASTER WEEKEND IS CLEAN-UP WEEKEND
We need as many members as possible to be at the club this weekend, beginning at 10 o'clock on Friday morning.
There are lots of jobs to do, so come along, meet up with your mates & get the club & ground looking smart for the start of the new season.
You never know, you might even get a meat pie (if Richie doesn't need them for his bowling practice! )
